Our Thanksgiving in Photographs

We arrived in Gainesville Wednesday evening just in time to celebrate our beautiful Grandma's 87th birthday!!! We don't get to see her nearly as often as we'd like to, so we were very excited to be there for her special day.

The kids got a kick out of the trick candles on Great Grandma's cake!

Our Thanksgiving was spent relaxing with family, exploring the outdoors, eating lots and lots and then some more really delicious food (we have some great cooks in the family), enjoying the beautiful weather and also it was spent being very, very thankful!

{my brother Brian with his oldest beauty. well after his beautiful wife that is}

{the three beautiful, angelic, crafty and sometimes very spunky ballerina cousins}

Aunt Janet teaching Fletch a thing or two about shootin' hoops!

The girls taking turns workin' off that big feast! Ha! When you're a kid, who has time to eat?

Grandma and her brother Paul

Grandma writing what she's thankful for this year in "the book" .

Colton and little Jake watching the daddy's and grandpa clean the fish after a successful morning on the water (yes, the guys had a men's fishing trip Thanksgiving morning while the ladies cooked. so typical huh? : )

Is this little guy handsome or what!

Dillon teaching his little cousin a thing or two. Dillon was so great with Fletch all weekend and was very helpful to have around!

Dillon, Fletch and Colton. Colton is actually 7 months older than Dillon! And to think we used to pass down Colton's baby clothes to him! Long gone are those days : )

Aunt Joyce with the two littlest cousins (fletch is just a few months older than Jake)

Each time I look at a picture of Colton with his beautiful smile consisting of all baby teeth, I think will this be the last one? He's got several loose ones so it's bound to happen sooner or later! He even wrote on his list to Santa that for his Christmas gift he wants to loose a tooth. I just hope (for his sake) that in three months when he's celebrating his 8th birthday, he'll be smiling with a gap somewhere in there : )

A bit of what we spotted on our nature walk around Aunt Carol's property. We were so fascinated by the colors everywhere and we even got to see lots of beautiful fall foliage on our trip! It amazes me how the scenery in Gainesville is so different from Stuart, yet it is only 3 1/2 hours away. Crazy!

I promise, I don't force them to do this! They genuinely love each other and do this even when no one's watching. It surely makes up for the bickering I hear!

Stay tuned for pictures from our trip to Dudley Farms... (here is a sneak peak : )
