We had so many great pictures from Christmas that I decided to go ahead and add them to the blog. We had so much fun at all of our holiday festivities and were reminded over and over again how awesome it is to celebrate the birth of our Savior. Colton and Gracie really seem to understand the reason we celebrate Christmas and that feels so good to know that to them, Christmas isn't just about Santa and presents. I purchased a really good book called "ADVENTure of Christmas" just after Christmas (thanks to a recommendation by Jen H.) and I really look forward to using this book as we celebrate next year. It is a mom's guide to helping children find Jesus in our holiday traditions. It goes deeper into how the traditions of the candy cane, baking, Santa Claus, the Christmas tree, ornaments, giving gifts, outdoor lights, caroling, and many others were originated. It's a really cool book! I think I'll learn a lot too : )

He actually climbed right up onto Santa's sleigh and didn't seem afraid at all until we put him on his lap. That's when the melt down instantly began!
