Colton is very excited to turn seven on March 1st. Wow, that sounds so old to me. I think no matter how old he gets he will always be my baby boy. Now I understand why my Dad called me 'baby girl' throughout my life until my marriage. It wasn't long until Gracie was born and he had a new girl in his life to call 'baby girl'. Colton is such a loving, tender hearted child who brings so much love to my life. We have bonded so much through our adventures in homeschooling and are creating so many memories I will cherish forever. He is super loving to his siblings and I am noticing him now taking time from his free time to help his sister learn to read. It's the sweetest thing ever for me to see. I just love the way that my kids can learn and grow together. I have always dreamed of having a large family with my kids being so close and connected to one another and I couldn't be any happier that my dream is actually happening. I pray that this bond they have will only become stronger through the years.
Gracie is our 'baby girl' and is such a sweet little lady. She turned four on August 1st and is counting down the months until she's five although she would love to skip ahead to six. She's got to keep up with her big brother you know! She loves to be totally girly and finds her passion in ballet, dress up, having her nails painted, hair done up pretty, and almost always wants to wear a dress or a skirt. I nearly have to beg to get her in a pair of jeans or shorts sometimes. She likes to try and boss her brothers around and is always keeping them in line. She surely lets me know when they are doing something they shouldn't be. She is working hard at becoming a better reader, and with the help of her brother, I'm sure she is on her way! She loves... school which so excites me since Colton is all boy and would rather be outside playing. I have to make Colton do his school work while Gracie begs me to do it. Even occasionally on the weekends she'll ask to 'do school'. I just love her!!! Now if Fletch will be the same way, I'll have it made! Even though she is totally girly girl, she certainly keeps up with the boys. She loves playing in the woods, fishing, has no problem getting dirty and even has her own four wheeler now (thanks to her brother outgrowing his and getting a new one).
Fletcher is our baby! He turned one on my birthday, September 20th and is growing up so very fast! It seems like he is doing things so much sooner than the other two but perhaps it's just that time flies when your having fun! Even though it seems like he should still act like our 'baby' it's really just his time to become a big boy! He loves to climb on everything, empty every drawer and cabinet he can get his hands on, dump anything in his reach, and loves, loves, loves to play with balls! He's got a great pitching arm too! He also is best pals with our dog Lucy and screams in excitement when she gets home from work with Daddy at the end of the day. He's also our 'boogie boy' since he LOVES to dance and surprisingly he's pretty good at it for a one year old. He certainly keeps a constant smile on our faces and is always out to make us laugh. I think we are going to have two boys competing for the 'class clown' position!
