Today, March 20th marks the day that Fletcher is officially 1 1/2. Also at the park today, my dear childhood friend also noted that today marks 6 months until I'm 30! But we won't talk about that. Here are a few pictures of my precious little boy who words cannot describe how much I love. It makes me nearly tear up at the thought that he very possibly would of never of been in our lives had we stopped at two.
Fletch, waving to Colton on the swing next to him.
There's nothin' like swinging in the fresh air!
Fletch is starting to say some recognizable words. Those who are around him know that he is a chatter box and speaks Fletchanese almost perfectly, but we now are starting to make sense of some of it. Some of his favorite words to say are outside, lulu, ready, go!, ball, no and hey (we hear this one a lot) among several others. He still uses a few signs, mainly more, ball, eat, drink, all done, please, thank you and bath but we are working on a few more complicated ones.
He knows his main body parts (eyes, ears, nose, hair, mouth, hands, feet, stomach) and overall he's a pretty good eater who just recently started liking milk. He WAS a really great sleeper but in the past month he has been waking up around 3:00 a.m. and wanting to come in our bed and nurse. I've been very lenient about this because it all started when he was sick and not feeling well and I felt pity for him but the parties over and some how, some way, I have to put an end to the midnight snacks. He still loves, loves, loves to play with balls. He's also a pretty big fan of skateboards and can commonly be seen carrying around Colton's mini toy skateboards. He's trying to figure out how to ride his brothers hand me down Spider-Man scooter so he can keep up with Colton and Gracie on theirs.
He certainly tries his hardest to keep up with the big kids and overall, he does an amazing job at it. He truly is growing up probably much faster than I'd like him to, but regardless just as I always tell his big brother, "No matter how big you grow, you'll always be our sweet baby boy".
